What to include in your request
Size and spaces
Share the approximate square footage, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and which rooms are included. Mention any areas that should be left alone.
Type of clean
Say whether you need a one-time clean, recurring visits, a deep clean, or move-in or move-out cleaning. Describe the current condition without assuming every provider defines these services the same way.
Specific tasks
List extras such as the inside of an oven, refrigerator, cabinets or windows. Note whether you expect the cleaner to bring supplies and whether there are surface or product preferences.
Timing and access
Give your preferred date or recurring schedule. Mention pets, parking and access constraints, but share entry codes or other sensitive access details privately with the provider you choose.
Photos can make your request clearer
A wide view of the rooms and close-ups of any areas needing extra attention can help explain the request. Remove identifying documents, family photos and other private details from the frame.

What can affect the price?
Home size, current condition, cleaning frequency and the requested tasks can change a proposal. A first visit may cover different work from a recurring visit. Ask whether a quote is a total for the visit or an hourly rate, and what would change that amount.

Is a deep clean the same as a standard clean?
Not necessarily. These labels can mean different things to different providers. Write down the tasks you need and ask each provider to confirm what's included, rather than comparing labels alone.
